Welcome to the Quarterfinals! Today, we find ourselves facing a common question: is superior firepower all you need to win a battle of metal? That's very much what BDM had as its main weapon today, “Ritual”. Even at its most memorable, this album's power dominates over any sense of finesse. While that kind of tactic wins smirmishes, it doesn't often lend itself to replayability, which “Dualism” has in spades. By the third time I listened to both albums today, I was honestly burnt out by BDM, while Textures was still going strong. So, Textures wins the long game, and wins a spot in the Semifinals.
